Diane Von Furstenberg called her resort collection "La Petite Valise," which translated for the runway meant a plethora of seasonless and standalone pieces that help resolve the what-to-pack dilemma.
"When you figure out your suitcase, you figure out your life," said von Furstenberg.
The easy-breezy mood resulted in polished young ladies whose summer itinerary included London, Venice and the isle of Ischia. There naturally were lots of dresses, from signaure jersey numbers to cotton styles in pastel or festive hues printed with passport pages, hotel roomkeys and gondolier hats.
