This Weekend Fashion TV pay tribute to the legendary heritage of Belstaff. The magnificent fashion, the special collections, the influence and fashion along the years.

Belstaff was founded by Harry Grosberg in 1924 in Victoria Place, Staffordshire in the English Midlands. The original product line consisted of waterproof garments for men and women. Belstaff was the first company in the world to use a totally water proof, breathable fabric, the now famous "Wax Cotton".

With this material, Belstaff specialized in the creation of high technology wear for the protection of the motorcyclist; with their wind & rain proof, heavy friction resistant attire, making history over the years with their specially created fabrics and their collectors' item motorcycle jackets. Among Belstaff legendary passionate: Lawrence of Arabia, Che Guevara, Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen.

In 1996 Franco Malenotti founded the Belstaff clothing company in order to raise Belstaff to the top. The response was immediate and the sales increased very quickly. Later on in 2004, Belstaff International Ltd. was taken over by the clothing company. This was also the year in which Belstaff celebrated its 80th anniversary with the launch of a special collection.

In 2005 Belstaff's apparel awakened great interest in the USA and the garments were continually requested for many of the most popular films such as "Batman Begins", "Blade Trinity", "Ocean's Twelve", “Mission Impossible”, "War of the Worlds", "The Aviator", “The Departed”, and the latter “Indiana Jones” and “Batman Dark Night” .

Belstaff achieved worldwide success throughout the world and as e response to its popularity took part to fundamental humanitarian initiatives such as "NOT ON OUR WATCH" (the organization pro-Darfour founded and sponsored by George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Don Cheadle).

The ancient phoenix legend, represented on the company's logo, continues and the re-birth is complete. Belstaff remains the only guardian of tradition with waterproof and protective motorcycle wear; A wealth of new and old knowledge, technique, fashion & design.
