Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin's worldwide exhibition showcases the superb artistry of this 254-year-old brand. It arrived at the Beijing Sun Dong An Plaza last week, with nearly 20 luxurious watches in tow.
A highlight is a pocket watch "JMV 1755", made in 1755. It is a replica of the first known pocket-watch by the founder of the brand. Visitors can see its white enamel dial with 12 Roman numerals. It is surrounded by another "railroad" minute track, that features the Arabic numbers.
Another exquisite creation, "World Time", known to many Chinese people, is a pocket watch done in 18k gold, with a silver dial and gold numbering.
Also on display is the classic Les Historiques line (pictured), highlighting the richness of the Vacheron Constantin heritage. The exhibition will visit six more Chinese cities: Dalian, Anshan, Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin, Qingdao and Shanghai.
Eight cities in southern and central China are also on the tour list for next year.
