Red wine to ward off lung cancer?

(China Daily/Agencies) Drinking red wine, but not white wine, may reduce lung cancer risk, especially among current and former smokers, new research indicates.

People who smoked and who drank at least a glass of red wine daily were 60 percent less likely to develop lung cancer than smokers who didn't drink alcohol, Dr Chun Chao of Kaiser Permanente Southern California in Pasadena and her colleagues found.
